The secret sauce of micro weddings and elopements

The secret sauce of micro weddings and elopements is the same secret sauce we’re all craving in our daily lives: a deep sense of connection with the ones we love.

Think for a moment how you feel when you’re with your favorite people, whether it’s friends, family of origin, chosen family, and/or fur babies. Maybe you feel fizzy with happiness, a deep sense of calm, the delicious delight of being truly known and loved for who you are, all of the above or something else altogether.

Now imagine feeling like that on your wedding day. Being able to sink into that warm feeling instead of rushing around, being ruled by a timeline that requires you to be and do a bunch of things just because you’re getting married and not because it feels authentic to you and your partner, much less feeds your soul.

A micro wedding or elopement gives you the freedom and flexibility to celebrate your love story with the people who support you in all the best ways.  You know, like the people you might choose to be in your wedding party.  What if you just invited those people and whoever else you feel closest to and call it good.  Because, I promise you, it will be great!

Have you heard of “wedding blackout”? It’s a common experience for couples who have big weddings that keep them so busy all day that they end up completely overwhelmed and can’t even remember it afterwards. Ugh, right?

When you choose a micro wedding or elopement, you’re choosing less stress and more relaxation. Less people and more intimacy. Big bonus: less impact on the environment and a more intentional celebration. That’s right, keeping your guest count small allows you to minimize the impact on the planet while also maximizing the overall experience for everyone who attends, including you! Because you deserve joy and peace on your wedding day (and every day!).

So, if you want a celebration of your love story that’s relaxed and elegant, beautiful and sustainable, intentional and authentic, then maybe a micro wedding or elopement is the right choice for you!
